Patricia Baldrich González is the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Research Funding at the UC Davis Genome Center, where she also leads the Baldrich Lab. Her research focuses on small RNAs and extracellular RNAs (exRNAs) in plants and microbes, exploring how these molecules shape communication, stress responses, and symbioses for plant resilience to space biology. Beyond research, Patricia is a dedicated leader in mentoring, diversity, equity, and inclusion, developing programs that support trainees and build stronger scientific communities. She is an active board member of the International Society for Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions (IS-MPMI), the Faculty Adviser for Junior Members of the RNA Society, and a contributor to global initiatives on inclusive and collaborative science.
